Historic Kansas City has awarded Norman School Lofts with Honors in the Best Adaptive Re-Use category at the 2018 Preservation Awards. Originally built in 1891, Norman School was a progressive-era elementary school and sat vacant for the past 11 years. Working with Del Properties, Norman School Lofts has been restored to its former glory which includes major corridors, with original plaster moldings and wood floors, chalkboards remaining in former classrooms, and existing stained woodwork throughout the building.
A special thank you to Strata Architecture + Preservation for assisting on this special project.
Co-President, Clint Evans (middle), accepts the award for Norman School Lofts.
