Lumberman’s Row is the most recent phase for New Longview’s single-family residential development in Lee’s Summit, Mo. Inspired by and named after the nickname for Janssen Place in Hyde Park, Lumberman’s Row features 18 new lots. Known as “estates,” each lot will feature one of eight neo-traditional architectural styles prevalent in Kansas City’s finest historic neighborhoods.
Box Real Estate Development turned to our residential architecture firm to deliver an exceptional home design and serve on the design review committee. An opportunity to design for Lumberman’s Row allowed NSPJ to lend our signature expertise: creating historically inspired, yet wholly original custom homes. The first home being built in shingle style home with unique details throughout the design.
A Masterful Exemplar Of NSPJ Residential Architecture and Design
Our Kansas City architecture firm designed the first home in this luxury development, a five-bedroom home that offers stand-out luxury architecture and distinctive details. This home’s complex roofline and precisely planned gables and dormers accentuate its identity as an estate-like property. Built to accommodate a large family, this two-story home offers ample space for daily life and recreation, including a game room, wine room and bar. Large windows provide ample natural light and views of the outdoors and a lake. Traditional columns invite the eye toward the front portico, and a drive-through arched portico delivers a tasteful entryway option for family members that leads to a triple garage.
Lumberman’s Row estates are built along New Longview Lake. NSPJ designed the home to include a large rear porch that overlooks the lake. The home also provides many opportunities for outdoor entertainment and leisure, including a pool and patio. A motor court adds privacy and accommodates guests. The back wing of the home creates a seamless flow between outdoor and indoor design features. The lake side of the home features a lanai, which further accentuates entertaining and outdoor living as a primary part of the future homeowners’ lifestyle.

Our Service to the Lumberman’s Row Design Review Committee
NSPJ also serves on the design review committee for the Lumberman’s Row master planning and development project, giving expertise in architecture and landscape architecture, as well as land planning.
