The Edison at Tiffany Springs is a modern farmhouse-style multifamily complex brought to the Kansas City’s Northland the area just south of the Kansas City International Airport. It will consist of seven 3-story buildings housing 243 dwelling units, detached private parking garages, a clubhouse for residents and a fence dog park for their pets.
Each building will house a collection of spacious studios, 1, 2, or 3-bedroom apartment homes with electronically controlled access to the buildings. Units have lofty 9ft ceilings with elegant kitchens featuring under mount sinks, shaker-style cabinets, stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. Each unit includes a full-size washer & dryer and expansive closets with open air shelving. Every unit includes private patios or balconies with outdoor storage closets. For parking, detached garages, electric car charging stations and multiple bike racks are provided.
Unique amenities for residents will include a pickle ball court, a golf simulator, resort-style swimming pool, and sun deck. The Club Room comes equipped with a demonstration kitchen, a coffee/tea bar, a business center, a virtual conference room, a media room, a 24-hour fitness center, a package room, and a pet wash area with professional-grade equipment. Outdoor amenities will include a fireplace pavilion with a TV, grilling stations, fire pits, a gazebo and access to walking paths.
To NSPJ, a sustainable design is key. For energy efficiency, LED lighting will be used throughout the complex. To prevent excess water runoff, storm water is collected in a pair of large, centralized wet detention ponds. A pair of water fountains will efficiently oxygenate the water and introduce currents to promote a healthy and clear water ecosystem.
The client-contractor team’s clear communication, diligent focus, and balance problem solving has been appreciated during the rigorous journey through the design and construction process. This project remains under construction with plans to open the first apartment building soon.
