This Tennessee remodel, located on the southern edge of Nashville in Forest Hills was very attractive to the new homeowners for the breathtaking hilltop views that it offers. The property, needing a top-to-bottom overhaul, was seen as a great opportunity for the new owner to leave their own mark and give the home new life. The focus of appreciating timeless design with modern sensibilities, we are working very closely with the homeowner to honor the new identity for the home, rooted in Shingle style detailing. Working within stringent city design standards and setbacks, in order for us to achieve the look we wanted it made the most sense to go “up”. By doing this it added much-needed space on a third floor within a new roofline. While adding only a small addition to the footprint at the rear of the home in the form of an ‘outdoor room’, the new design ticks every box for the homeowners, who are more than excited to see their home take shape.
