Working with both the property owners and the City of Tahlequah, this “lake community” master land plan will supplement the growing hospital complex immediately south of the site and mitigate flooding issues in a neighboring sub-division. The community is designed to weave the amenities in a holistic and cohesive approach with the development. Designated for mixed-use purposes, it will be connected through continuous walking trails around newly created water features. The form and function of the retention ponds are a key aspect and add an aesthetically pleasing view.
The goal is to develop a variably dense community in an area of Tahlequah that has not seen much investment over the years. Spread out over more than 70 acres, the new neighborhood at Highway 82 and Downing Street will include both multifamily and single-family housing providing diverse housing types supported by adjacent retail, restaurants, and hotels.
