Sterling Bank

From the start, this freshly remodeled space on the Historic Country Club Plaza was envisioned as a formal “cow-town bank aesthetic” to serve as the Kansas City flagship location for the rapidly growing business of Sterling Bank. The interior is adorned in traditional paneled details, terrazzo flooring, and ceilings with heavy and ornate relief. Crystal chandeliers and subtle metallic finishes catch the eye upon entry. The handmade copper art wall behind the teller station is a custom commissioned piece meant to mimic old copper whiskey casks.

The entire floor plan was originally constructed as three separate tenant spaces and overtime had received many changes. During the demolition of the flooring, it was discovered that each floor was now a different height, adding to the items to be addressed – typical of working in a near century-old building.  Priding themselves on delivering very customer-focused service; a warm color palette and natural materials were selected to provide a sense of elegance and sophistication while welcoming guests inside.
