Nestled into the steep elevation of a wooded hillside lot, this 7,000 square foot residence offers an intimate feeling at a generous scale. The family wanted a cozy, cottage core ambiance throughout the home while maintaining the substantial footprint of the layout.
To achieve this goal, the architects used strategic placement of walls and roofing to create a layout that makes the interior feel intimate, while also creating ample space for the family to live.
The residence features a dramatic floating staircase and exposed wood beams in the main living spaces. Wood finishes on the exteriors complement the surrounding woodland, while a two-story back deck showcases the stunning views of the estate.
