Located at the Lake of the Ozarks, NSPJ’s landscape architecture team transformed a steep sloped backyard into this luxurious family resort. The design team drew inspiration from high-end resorts that they have visited to include luxurious touches. Before, the backyard was a simple steep lawn with a large amount of unused space. To maximize the space, we rearranged the lake access and designed a series of terraces for multi-level outdoor living. Collaborating with our architects, the indoor spaces flowed to the outdoors to enhance the lake views. A large retaining wall created space for a pool with a slide, shallow ledge, laminar jet water features, hot tub. Furthermore, an enclosed bar/storage area with bi-folding doors for less maintenance, gas lanterns, built-in grill, pizza oven, and fire pit that enhance the site’s natural splendor.
