Multi-Generational Family Lake Home

A complete overhaul of a multi-generational family, waterfront home is desired to create an open concept at this Lake Lotawana residence while maintaining timeless lake house appeal. To accommodate the entire family, several bedrooms and a bunk room that sleeps twelve is planned.  The integrity of the property is maintained by incorporating the stone foundation, steps and paths with the fresh architectural design, which gives a nod to the charming boathouse to remain on the property.

Two fireplaces, one in the master suite, and the other in the living room, keep the family cozy on cooler nights.  Views of the lake are maximized by the use of expansive windows, glass doors for the living room, kitchen, dining and delightful French doors off the second-floor lounge.  The pergola covered outdoor dining terrace will be a wonderful shady spot to relax with friends and family while enjoying the lake views.

The cupola, while an interesting architectural element, is a very functional one.  It will pour sunlight into the stair hall below by day and will be a lantern lit beacon home as dusk falls at night.
