Mission Chateau Senior Living Community, located in Prairie Village, Kansas, includes independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The community is a three-story building consisting of 40 memory care units, 40 assisted living units, and 130 independent living units, making a total of 210 units. To blend in more naturally with the surrounding neighborhood, the lower level was terraced into the hillside. This created five landscaped courtyards for semi-private resident use.
The dispersion of gathering spaces throughout the plan provides residents with opportunities for interaction and entertainment. There are multiple dining venues including a bar and bistro, perfect for resident socialization. A full fitness center, complete with yoga studio and indoor pool, rounds out the amenity package.
The intent, for this project, was to create an environment that provides residents with all the details to help them overcome the daily hurdles of aging in a home-like environment. We created an atmosphere that administered high-quality care while providing residents with opportunities to connect with one another and enjoy themselves.
