Mid-Century Modern Lake Home

This unique and well-preserved midcentury-modern lake house built in 1976 has amazing design features but needed a fresh new look. The design challenge was to bring this architectural home to the 21^st century without losing it’s original architects core design elements and charm. The existing plan has 4 split-level stories that create unique spaces of varying heights and views toward Weatherby Lake. By adding roughly 800 square foot to the house, we were able to create a dream kitchen with ample storage and a new walk-out patio with unimpeded views of the lake. We transformed the existing basement storage area into a theater room that seats 6 lounge chairs with an adjacent wine display room. The new master suite is the ultimate transformation with new vaulted ceilings, two-sided electric fireplace with a free-standing bathtub, 13’-0” double-vanity, and a walk-in-closet with an abundance of natural light.
