Architecture, Landscape Architecture

The welcoming entry of this Little Known Estate sets the tone for a cohesive approach from the front entry, to the architecture of the main residence. The use of similar materials from the entry gate, to the inlay design on the driveway, to the lit pillars lining the way to the home, creates custom characteristics most only can dream of.  The meandering driveway weaves visitors through the estate that is carefully buffered from the main road by large plantings that consist of a mix of evergreens, shrubs, and deciduous trees.  The large circle drive at the main house draws your eye to the front door with a large central iron water feature; the drive trails off to the side/back of the home by way of a stone bridge leading vehicles over a custom dry creek to help with drainage and create an interesting view from the kitchen window.

Around the back of the home, our landscape architects and architects created a three seasons room equipped with a sliding NanaWall. By being able to completely open up the wall, this allowed the homeowner to have functions allowing guests to easily move from inside to outside enjoying the elements along with the Chicago Brick Pizza Oven as well as the fire pit with built-in seating.  A water feature completes the cozy space, perfect for a gathering of family and friends.

Helping to further create a separation between intimate space from the more expansive outdoor entertaining areas, stepped terraces were used with decorative iron gates. The custom iron gates provide both form and function by providing safety for the pool as well as compliments the character of the home. The entertaining space around the pool ties with the architecture of the home and provides a covered outdoor family room. Equipped with a bar and grilling area, tv, ample seating as well as restrooms and changing spaces for guests.  A large water feature created from the infinity-edge pool then takes the water down to the “spa” or grotto. This area was created at the lowest level of the outdoor space but further away from the entertaining spaces providing yet another space for privacy.

The property is adorned with four seasons of plantings to provide interest all year throughout the estate and enhance the natural beauty of the site.
