Located in Independence, Missouri, this large custom estate required many different water features and entry experiences. The goal for this project was to maximize views and use the existing topography to create multiple outdoor living spaces. Additionally, to install four seasons of plantings that provided interest throughout all seasons. The design approach for landscape architecture was to compliment the style of architecture for the home with the new pool, restroom and grill structure, hot tub, and outdoor living spaces. Stepped terraces were used to create a large water feature from the pool to lower level while a smaller water feature was used to bring water closer to the main home. At the entry of the estate, it was imperative to create a cohesive approach from the front entry to the main residence.
