Lakeside Modern Outdoor Living

This lakeside estate is the ultimate entertainers retreat, shaped by the client’s vision for outdoor gathering spaces that embrace the water and surrounding natural beauty. The outdoor living spaces include a faux-infinity pool that gives the illusion of a vanishing edge with a 10-foot feature wall, hot tub, firepit and turf area for the active family. A staircase extends from the interior to the outdoor spa, creating a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces while establishing a visual focal point on the back of the home. Both sides of the pool offer bar seating for residents and guests to relax while maximizing the surrounding lakeside views. 

The site’s steep elevation posed one of the project’s key landscape design challenges. Landscape architects addressed this through a series of retaining walls with lighting that is functional, illuminating the hillside path between the main home and the waterfront boathouse. 

This modern lakeside home is part of the The Nineteen, a larger mixed-use development at the Lake of the Ozarks.
