This residence is comprised of two structures: an existing home, which can be seen on the right side of the first photo, and a newly constructed cabin that complements the existing structure (first photo, left). The use of imported reclaimed materials fosters the “old world” charm of this Lake Lotawana, Missouri remodeled lakeside residence. The intimate interior spaces have simple yet elegant details using reclaimed timbers, stone, and hand-trowelled plaster. The residence captures the magnificent views of the lake from its premier point location. The challenging site provided a unique landscape opportunity to create a circulation pattern that provides safe and comfortable access to all of the property amenities. Each path has a different theme and landscape character that evokes lake imagery and a carefree lifestyle.
