JAMP OP mixed-use residential land plan is located at Metcalf and 159th Street in Overland Park, Kansas. We designed a formal gird network of streets with large common green space amenities. The land plan is comprised of townhomes, an assisted living building, and an independent living facility. The concept was to locate the assisted living building on the most highly visible corner, transition to the independent living facility, and then to the less dense townhomes. Furthermore, the lower profile townhomes create a buffer for the existing single-family homes to the east of the site. This project is unique for Overland Park in that it provides a continuum of care and a range of housing choices within one community. Residents can transition from townhome living to independent living to assisted living while enjoying the same amenities and community.
