Creating this lakefront home involved consolidating two lots, each already having an existing house that needed to be torn down. A larger home was built on the combined lot, rebuilding as close to the lakefront as possible while maintaining the magnificent view of the original structure. Gentle transitions in the grading from the top of the lot to the shore provides great views down the channel while keeping the desired height of the home.
Two large patios were restored and a large outdoor living area was added to give the owners a variety of options for outdoor entertaining and relaxing.
The interior of the home is open and bright, drawing light in from the many large windows. Upon entering the home, the lake is immediately visible through the glass sliding doors. The combined effect is a warm, inviting space in which the owners and their extended families can create lasting memories.
Our experience with local zoning and homeowner association regulations allowed us to successfully obtain the required approvals and variances without impacting the project schedule.
The owners of this Lake Lotawana home originally intended this to be their vacation home, but the project was so successful that they decided to make it their primary residence.
