Services
Perched on a soft rise in the Country Club District of Kansas City, Missouri, is one of the remarkable architectural and design landmarks of the 1930s. Listed on the local historic registry, NSPJ has been entrusted to redesign the residence to a desired seamless interior and exterior living using movable walls and revitalized terraces with an effortless California-esque feel. Originally built in 1935 and designed by Edward Tanner, the new style will pay homage for the original design while adding a modern, timeless, open flow.
Every part of this design for the client is focused on being able to create structural renovations to the home to increase views of the surrounding property. A highlight of the home will include a new four-car carriage house addition with a portion of the second floor containing a see-through glass floor for showcasing the owner’s collection.
Our founder of NSPJ, Howard Nearing, apprenticed under Edward Tanner at the beginning of his career. Celebrating our 60th Anniversary, NSPJ is very excited to be a part of this project.
We strive to be the best residential architects in Kansas City, as we serve our clients around the country.
