The combining of two individual historic structures into a 13,000+ s.f. restaurant, replete with various floor levels, was a major design feat in the creation of Fogo de Chao on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. Years of previous renovations were cleared away and large amounts of new structure were added to create the expansive open space this client requires for its cleanly modern yet traditional aesthetic. Having been stripped of their original vernacular detailing, the facades on all exposures were completely redesigned to bring the building back to a cohesive appearance with the theme of the surrounding landmark shopping district. The base windows of the clock tower highlight the masterful “Gaucho Way” of meat preparation this restaurant is internationally known for with an exposed open flame Churrasco.
We strive to be the best residential architects in Kansas City, as we serve our clients around the country.
