This 2,900 square foot modern home in Kansas City was designed to be low maintenance and energy efficient, while also reflecting the personal aesthetic of the owners. Two complete living levels, a basement and a rooftop patio are connected by a raw aluminum and glass see-through staircase. The upper hallway features three inset tempered glass panels that funnel the light from the rooftop to the lower levels. The landscaping, although it requires minimal upkeep, is full of personality.
