Shayla Curren joined NSPJ Architects in August 2023 in the role of Designer II. After graduating from Kansas State University in 2020 with a masters in architecture, Shayla worked at a local architecture firm specializing in multi-family housing. She enjoys volunteering with AIA Kansas City and Habitat for Humanity, and she currently serves as the co-chair of the Equity in Architecture committee. Her favorite places in Kansas City include the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, Wyandotte Lake, and The Crossroads Art District. In her spare time, she enjoys watering her plants, shopping local, and remodeling her 1940’s era Tudor home.
