NSPJ Addition and Renovation of KU Sigma Kappa House

NSPJ Sigma Kappa Addition and Renovation Named Project of the Year

We are thrilled that Rau Construction Company has been named General Contractor (Under $5 Million) of the Year by the Associated General Contractors of America, Kansas City Chapter for our addition and renovation of the University of Kansas Sigma Kappa Sorority Xi Chapter. The 5,000 square foot main floor of the house, originally built in 1913, was renovated to include a large study area and expanded living quarters for the House Director. A 3,000-square-foot third floor was also added to accommodate student living quarters and a large bathroom. Throughout the project, Rau Construction was quick to adjust the construction schedule to accommodate the weather conditions and protect the owner’s property. Their expertise, knowledge and dedication helped ensure that the project was a success.
