Press Release
PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. — NSPJ Architects, P.A., recently leased the top floor of the Meadowbrook Office Building in Prairie Village, Kan., for the relocation of its headquarters. The office building is a key component of the Meadowbrook Village mixed-use renovation, re-positioning and development by The R.H. Johnson Company. The 17,000-square-foot lease brings the office building to 88 percent leased, along with the Kansas City Ballet and other valued tenants. NSPJ will occupy the new space in June 2024, after completing a full remodel and build-out of the premises.
“We are excited to relocate to a new, larger space for our headquarters in the Meadowbrook Office Building,” said Clint Evans, Co President of NSPJ Architects. “This move allows us to accommodate the continued growth of our firm, as well as create a new and dynamic environment for our valued clients and associates. The space also provides access to adjacent walkable restaurants, childcare and the expansive Meadowbrook Park.”
Eric Gonsher of The R.H. Johnson Company commented that “NSPJ Architects, as the largest and newest tenant in the building, is confirmation of the quality and appeal of this mixed-use development that is positioned at an unparalleled infill location and just minutes from I-435. We are curating a complimentary tenant mix that provides the services, shopping, and dining in an amenity rich environment to best serve the surrounding community. NSPJ Architects is a market leading firm that has been shaping the landscape of Kansas City and surrounding markets for decades and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome them to the project.”
Andrew Block of Block Real Estate Services represented NSPJ Architects in the transaction. Meadowbrook Office Building owner The R.H. Johnson Company is represented by Chuck Connealy, Bob Cattanach and Lauren Cattanach of Waterford Property Company.
The R.H. Johnson Company purchased the property in 2021 and has since remodeled the now upscale office building with new windows, HVAC, glass fronted balconies, tenant signage, exterior hard surfaces and furnished/landscaped common areas. The adjoining Meadowbrook Village retail center is anchored by Primrose Schools, Another Broken Egg, The Bar Prairie Village, Aqua-Tots Swim Schools and Academy Bank. The adjacent Meadowbrook Park features 80 acres of green space, eight pickleball courts, four shelters, three miles of paved trails and three lakes. The Inn at Meadowbrook features 54 luxury guestrooms and two restaurants.
