Local developers will leverage support from a new incentive district to create hundreds of apartments on a long-vacant site in Shawnee. Oddo Development Co. and Beaumont Enterprises Inc. plans to develop 271 apartments above a two-story below-grade parking garage near the northeast corner of 79th Street and Renner Road. NSPJ is the architect. The Shawnee City Council approved the developer’s zoning request and preliminary plan Monday. City planners approved the proposal July 20. The Rec-Centric project falls within the Midland Entertainment Tax Increment Financing district the Shawnee City Council created in May
