Kansas City Council Considering 30-Year Ground Lease for First New Hotel at KCI Since 1974

The Kansas City Business Journal reports that the Kansas City Council could authorize a 30-year ground lease for the Stealth Hotel at Kansas City International Airport, making it the first new hotel built on airport grounds since 1974. Designed by NSPJ Architects, the four-story hotel draws inspiration from the B-2 stealth bomber and will feature 163 rooms and 7,000 square feet of meeting space. Construction is expected to begin later this year, with an anticipated opening in 2028.
