This year, three of our collaborative model and spec homes with Renew Design + Build were honored at the DesignKC Awards and earned recognition in the 3,000-6,000-square-foot category. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and look forward to many more award-winning projects ahead.
- Timeless Elegance – Model/Spec home 3,001-6,000 square feet
Designed with both elegance and functionality, this home built on a narrow lot at the end of the cul-de-sac presented structural difficulties in the planning process. It now stands as a refined architectural statement, welcoming residents and guests with arched openings and vaulted ceilings that create a seamless connection between timeless elegance and contemporary finishes.
The main level features a primary suite with six bedrooms total throughout the home. Additional highlights include a loft overlooking the staircase and an outdoor porch. Together, these elements create a home that offers an elevated living experience that balances classic design with modern livability.
- Windy City Replant – Model/Spec home 3,001-6,000 square feet
Blending classic architectural form with modern simplicity, this transitional contemporary home brings an upscale presence to the neighborhood. Clean siding and contrasting black-framed windows define the exterior and hint at the contemporary style carried throughout the home.
Inside, exposed wood beams line the ceiling of the open-concept living area and kitchen, complementing the warm wood flooring and cabinetry. A butler’s pantry with a wine fridge and generous storage accommodates entertaining while two sliding glass doors open to the backyard and expand everyday living into the outdoor space.
The layout includes a main-level primary suite and three bedrooms on the upper level. The lower level offers additional room for gathering including a family room, bar and fifth bedroom that reinforce the focus on effortless entertaining and elevated living.
- Transitional Modern -Model/Spec home 3,001-6,000 square feet
This transitional modern home is shaped by a layout and detailing that embrace natural light and easy movement between gathering spaces. Upon entering the home, a study just off the main foyer leads into a first-floor primary bedroom, laundry room and a kitchen that connects seamlessly to the outdoor living area.
On the lower level, the home offers an elevated entertaining experience with a bar space that aligns with the home’s contemporary character. Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the living areas fill each space with natural light and reinforce an open-air ambiance that flows throughout the house.
