Developer seeks approval to add 500-plus apartments along K-7 in Lenexa

The Copper Creek Apartments development moves closer to approval, with the 531-unit multifamily community receiving unanimous Preliminary Development Plan approval through the Lenexa Planning Commission. The Lenexa City Council is scheduled to review the preliminary plan on March 16.  The Copper Creek Apartments would sit on 27 acres between Woodsonia to the east and K-7 to the west. KC-based Oak IQ Investments is the developer of the 15 building community, for which NSPJ is the architect.

Copper Creek would offer a blend of studio, one and two-bedroom units. The project plan lays out the apartment units across three multifamily zoning districts, with density growing from east to west.
