Italian Farmhouse

A little touch of Tuscany is sequestered in a wooded setting in Leawood, Kansas. Located on Tomahawk Creek Estates behind Hallbrook Country Club, this home is situated on a steep slope below grade. Visitors are greeted by a custom circular drive that winds through the property. The choice of natural materials within and on the exterior captures “old world” atmosphere, which is exemplified in the detail of the dramatic two-story stone tower and vaulted ceilings. Red clay tile, heavy timber and a gabled roof were incorporated to reinforce the informal Italian design.
