Leawood Neoclassical Estate

Located in Leawood, this stunningly unique and coastal modern inspired residence was designed after listening and collaborating with the homeowner’s desire for an aesthetic holistically unique to the Metro area.  Our team was furnished with a myriad of images and specific direction that we could artfully employ.  Of prime desire was the need for a front and rear courtyard which gave way to an H-shaped, formal, symmetrical design with massive glass areas to maximize light and views of the park like setting.

To meet the client’s vision, the ultimate crucial element of the home is the beautiful, sweeping, curved staircase that makes for the focal point of the grand entryway.  The residence is designed with a minimalistic gallery-feel that includes site views throughout the open concept featuring the staircase, high ceilings, clean lines.   The views from the main entrance continue throughout the open space and through the panoramic, movable glass doors overlooking the meticulously landscaped lanai and pool.

On one side of the open concept, the kitchen was designed with custom made floor-to-ceiling, noise-concealing, pocket doors to serve as room dividers to the prep kitchen.  When entertaining, a purposeful private staircase was set up for the children that reaches all three floors including the prep kitchen to protect sight and sound.  A formal dining area off the kitchen includes panoramic doors that open to the lanai and outdoor linear firepit lounge next to the infinity edge pool as the backdrop.  On the opposite side of the open concept, an intimate parlor is created to insinuate a nightclub lounge that is protected from the grandiose sense of the home.

Because of different schedules for members of the household, the master bedroom is created with an adjoining elegant, powder room that also allows for a quiet entrance to the fitness studio.  A luxurious boudoir incorporates a desired color-scheme to highlight a classy ambience.

The clients indicated that our architects created a flawless and impeccable home that accurately reflects the imagery and vision they desired.
