Residences at Echelon is a contemporary-style apartment complex located in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. This project serves as the first large scale multi-family residential development for this client so the vision had to be bold. The client was looking to design and master plan a class-A apartment community. Located on approximately 11 acres, the site plan is comprised of eight apartment buildings totaling 243 living units. There are a wide variety of amenities including a car rinse station, a community garden, playground, and a dog park. Furthermore, at the heart of the site is the clubhouse and pool amenity area, overlooking an expansive pond with multiple fountains. This unique feature is located on the westerly portion of the site. It is designed to accommodate very stringent storm water control requirements, and has become a part of a larger, more regional system. The developer gave us the freedom to design a unique and expressive project. This allowed us to take advantage of the sites constraints and turn them into opportunities.
NSPJ Architects provided the architecture, landscape architecture, and land planning for the Residences at Echelon.
